63.5 x 38.1 x 31.75mm thick Electromagnet with 10-32 UNC Mounting Hole - 91kg Pull (12V DC / 5W)

Easy to use electromagnet for lifting and holding applications. These magnets require a power source; when electricity is passed through them they produce a strong magnetic field and when the power is removed, the magnetic field disappears instantly.

Please note, the listed pull strength is based on the electromagnet being in direct contact with a steel or ferrous surface that is equal in thickness to the magnet itself.

63.5 x 38.1 x 31.75mm thick Electromagnet with 10-32 UNC Mounting Hole - 91kg Pull (12V DC / 5W) (EM633831M5)
  • 63.5mm x 38.1mm x 31.75mm thick
  • Magnet field generated when an electric current is applied
  • Each magnet has a safe working limit (SWL) of up to 91kg in a vertical direct position when electricity is applied
  • Zinc Plated Mild Steel
  • Supplied with 10-32 UNC mounting hole on the reverse for fixing and mounting
  • Operating voltage 12V DC / 5W, power source not included

These powerful electromagnets, commonly referred to as ‘energise to hold’ magnets, generate a magnetic field when they are connected to a live direct current and have zero magnetic strength when ‘switched off’. Electromagnets are commonly used in door and hatch mechanisms on machinery, in automated assembly lines, for robotics and the lifting and handling of ferrous materials. Each magnet is supplied with approximately 630mm of wire for connecting to a direct current (DC) power source.
